She was born April 12, 1923 at Steinenbrucke, LindLar, Germany, a daughter of Franz Wilhelm Joseph Jahns and Agatha Braun Jahns. She was raised and attended schools in Germany. Together the family immigrated to the U.S. to Nebraska, and then they lived in Boise for many years. After her husbands death in 2000, she moved to Rigby, ID to be closer to her daughter Christel Taylor. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She, along with her husband belonged to the Wood Carvers Club in Boise and demonstrated their skills at trade shows. She enjoyed making pine needle baskets and knitting hats for many family members and friends. She is survived by a daughter; Christel (Mike) Taylor of St. George, UT, two sons: Reinhard (Maurine) Schuster of Nampa, ID, Norbert Schuster of Idaho City, ID, a sister; Lehni Krahe of Germany, Nine grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Heinrich, and two great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Star Cemetery (9530 W.
