Margery Jean Howard

Margery Jean Howard, 76, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from complications of COPD. She will be dearly missed by her family. Marge was born December 16, 1939, in Idaho Falls; the daughter of Elda and Anton Anderson. She grew up and was educated in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1958. On April 4, 1961, she married the love of her life, Gilbert Park Howard. She studied nursing at Sacred Heart Hospital and began her career shortly after, at Parkview Hospital. Marge loved gardening, camping, fishing and mounted archery. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gilbert Howard of Rigby; Kelly (Trent Blackburn) McMurtrey of Rigby, Kathy (Robert) Simpson of Salt Lake City, Christopher (Lori) Howard of South Carolina and Corey (Robyn) Howard of Oregon; 14 grandchildren; twin sister Margret (Doren) Knudsen of Idaho Falls, brother, Robert (Kerry) Anderson of Rigby and brother, Larry (Darlene) Anderson of Rigby. She is predeceased by her brother Merle Anderson. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, with Larry Johnson, officiating. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, before the graveside at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby.
