Maria Consolacion Lazalde, 84 of Idaho Falls, died Monday, January 27, 2014 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born June 2, 1929, in Santa Rosa, Zacatecas, Mexico to Francisco Miranda and Luz Flores Miranda. She was raised and attended schools in Santa Rosa, Mexico.
On February 1, 1947, she married Francisco Lazalde in Santa Rosa, Mexico; they were blessed with 3 daughters and 4 sons.
Maria was a devout member of the Catholic Church. In addition to being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maria worked at Ucon Produce for many years. She enjoyed cooking for her family, knitting, and was a talented seamstress. She was very enjoyable to associate with; she loved to party, always had a smile on her face and was very adventurous.
She is survived by her daughters, Concha (Frank) Orner, of Firth, Blanca (James) Orner, of Pocatello, Sandra (Brent) Christensen, of Blackfoot, sons; Salvador ( RosaIva) Lazalde, of Idaho Falls, Oscar, (Juanita) Lazalde, of Driggs, Frank (Kathy) Lazalde, of Rigby, Gerardo (Monica) Lazalde, of Idaho Falls, sister, Guadalupe Miranda (Sergio) de Dominguez, of Tlacomulco, Mexico, brother; Adan (Flora) Miranda, of Mexico, Jamie (Amalia) Miranda, of Huston, Texas, 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 7 sisters 1 brother, and 1 grand child.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 145 9th St., Idaho Falls.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel; 101 W. Main St. Rigby. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
