Maribeth Surerus Carson, 41, of Idaho Falls passed away at her home in Idaho Falls. She was born October 15, 1975 at the LDS Hospital in Idaho Falls to John William Surerus and Marianne Ressler Surerus. Mari attended schools in Roberts, Idaho Falls, and Terreton. She graduated from Skyline High School. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Mari loved her Seminary Classes and teachers. After graduation Mari lived in Seattle with her sister Angie. While living in Seattle she met and married Joe Carson. To this union was born a precious daughter Marikatherine(Katie). Joe and Mari lived in San Diego, California where Joe was stationed in the Navy and Mari worked for a debt collection and mortgage agency. Joe and Mari were later divorced.
Mari loved reading, gardening, serving others, and being with her family. Mari loved the United States of America and always made sure her family took part in the 4th of July celebrations while in Idaho Falls.
Mari is survived by her daughter Katie Carson of Missoula, MT., her parents Jim & Marianne (Surerus) Tegnell of Idaho Falls and John & Connie Surerus of Roberts, Siblings, Angela (Brandon) Bullock of Gilbert, AZ, John Paul (Brittany) Surerus of Rexburg, Joseph Surerus, Milltown, MT, Leslie (Mike) Warnberg of Rigby, Breezie (Matt) Bitter of Rexburg. Mari was proceeded in death by her grandparents James & Joyce Ressler of Lancaster, PA and John Loftus and Annie Dineen Surerus of Roberts, ID.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 28th at the Roberts 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 663 N. 2858 E., in Roberts, with Bishop Matt Robison conducting. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 9:30-10:45 at the Roberts LDS Church. Interment will be at the Roberts Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the angels at the Crisis Center and Club Group homes, doctors, Bishops, friends, relatives, and professionals that reached out and touched Mari’s life for good.
