Marie Anna Jordan

Marie Anna Jordan, age 94, of Idaho Falls died Saturday, November 2, 2002 at the Idaho Falls Care Center. Marie was born May 31, 1908 in Shea, Nebraska the daughter of August Henry Kunter and Haly Catherine Willems Kunter. She was raised and attended school in Ririe, Idaho. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1926. Marie attended two years at the University of Nebraska. Marie married Ray A. Jordan on June 4, 1933 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She worked as a bookkeeper for various banks and for Lawrence Livermore Lab in California as an office manager. Marie was a member of the Presbyterian church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 85, the Idaho Falls P.E.O. Chapter BG and was involved with Hospice, and contributed to many charities especially the Humane Society, the Idaho Youth Ranch, Shriners Hospital and the Idaho Food Bank. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband 3 brothers and a niece. Graveside services will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery on November 27, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
