Marilyn Lucy Killian, 61, of Ammon, Idaho and formerly of Clark, Idaho died Friday, January 21, 2005 at the hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Marilyn was born January 2, 1944 in Idaho Falls, Idaho the daughter of Edwin Alma Casper and Vonda Marie Schneiter Casper. She attended schools in Menan and Rigby, Idaho graduating from Rigby High School. She attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and the University of Idaho at University Place in Idaho Falls studying Computer Science.
She married Michael Russell Killian on November 9, 1962 in Menan, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on September 11, 1976. They later divorced.
She worked as a substitute teacher for Idaho Falls District 91 and Jefferson County District 251. She was a volunteer leader with 4-H teaching cooking, sewing and bike riding, and was a member of the LDS Church where she served in the primary.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending her time with them.
She is survived by three daughters, Suzanne (Lorne) Redmond of Salt Lake City, Utah, Nancy Killian of Provo, Utah and Jenny Luck of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Two sons, Brent Killian of Salt Lake City, Utah and David Killian of Idaho Falls, Idaho. One sister, Ann Marie (Bruce) Barnes of North Fork, Idaho. Three brothers, LaMar (LuDene) Casper of Salmon, Idaho, Val (Sheryl) Casper of Driggs, Idaho, Richard (Leesa) Casper of Roberts, Idaho. Seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Michelle Anderson, a brother, Rex Casper and a sister, Lora Lee Casper.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ammon 1st Ward LDS Chapel (3000 Central Ave, Ammon, Idaho). The family will meet with friends on Monday, January 24, 2005 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 W. Main, Rigby, Idaho) and prior to services on Tuesday at the Ammon 1st Ward Church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
