Marion Earl Taylor

Marion Earl Taylor, 95, of Grant died August 20, 2004, at the Pine Brook Assisted Living Center in Rigby. Marion was born on March 14, 1909 in Grant, Idaho a son of Joseph Lake Taylor and Nancy Elizabeth McEntire Taylor. He attended school in the Grant and Rigby area. Marion married Nellie Byram in Ucon, Idaho on November 15, 1927. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marion was a High Priest and he had served as a Teachers Quorum Adviser, Elders Quorum President, and High Priest Group leader. Marion farmed in the Grant area for a number of years. He later sold Real Estate in South East Idaho for several years and sold chemical supplies for Deckers in Idaho Falls. Survivors include three daughters, Delores (Lynn) Thueson of Parma, Idaho, Orial (Jay) Cottle of Menan, Idaho and Gerrie (David) Kinghorn of Lewisville, Idaho, and one son Mac B. (Saundra) Taylor of Idaho Falls, Idaho. 26 grandchildren 83 great grandchildren 14 great great grandchildren Marion was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 8 brothers, 3 sisters and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 23, 2004, at the Grant Church at 1:00 p.m. The family will meet with friends prior to the services at the church from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Burial will follow the services at the Grant Central Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family expresses their thanks to the Aspen Hospice and the Pine Brook Assisted Living Center for their care and compassion.
