Marjorie Palmer Brady, age 90, died at the Gables of Ammon Friday, December 5, 2014.
She was born August 14, 1924, in Iona, Idaho to Don Treasure and Hazel Magleby Treasure. She was raised in the Garfield area attending Rigby schools and graduated from Rigby High School.
On September 2, 1947 she married Drue E. Palmer in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Milo, on the Palmer Ranch, where they raised their 4 sons and they lived for 40 years. In addition to being a wife and mother, Marjorie also worked at various potato warehouses including Ucon Produce. After Drue and Marjorie divorced; she then moved to Rigby and continued to work at Ucon Produce, retiring at the age of 71. Drue preceded her in death. In 1997 she married Earl Pete Brady in Rigby, Idaho; they lived near Rigby where they enjoyed retirement together. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Marjorie enjoyed gardening, knitting and canning. She also devoted her time as a volunteer at the Jefferson County Museum & Historical Society.
She is survived by sons: Roger (Ivone) Palmer of Denver, Colorado, Brent (Paula) Palmer of Rigby, and Ron (Barbara) Palmer of Idaho Falls, a sister Ruby (Ken) Vermillion of Tempe, Arizona, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, her youngest son Rick Palmer who died in June of 2014, sisters, Vera Treasure who died at age 2, and Elaine (Bill) Call, as well as her brothers Bill Treasure and Lynn Treasure.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
