Mark Grover, 93, of Sunnydell, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at his home.
He was born January 27, 1916, in Archer to Elisha Freeman Grover, and Emma Marie Erickson Grover. He attended schools in Lyman and Archer. On February 4, 1938, he married Erma Arvella Boulter in Idaho Falls. He worked as a Potato Inspector in Hamer and Mudlake, and California. He also farmed in the Archer and LaBelle areas for 10 years.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a home teacher, superintendent in Sunday school, and served in the young men’s organization. Mark called square dancing in Archer, Pocatello and Missoula Montana. He enjoyed relaxing, working with cows, fishing, country music, and gardening.
He is survived by his daughters; Marilyn Glenn, of Idaho Falls, Elna (Larry) Guymon, of Rigby, sons; DeMar (Valerie) Grover, of Sunnydell, Monte (LuAnn) Grover, of Rigby, a broher; Lavar (Sharon) Grover, of Eagle, 14 grandchildren, 44 great grand-children, and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Erma, a son Bradley Grover, 4 sisters, 5 brothers, 2 grandsons, and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February, 27, 2009, at the Archer, LDS Church, with Bishop Wally Bennett, conducting. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday, both at the church.
Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
