Mary Johanna Blosch, 60, of Rigby, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Madison Memorial Hospital, after a courageous fight against cancer.
She was born October 30, 1948, in Driggs to Daniel Taylor Romney and Mary Ellen Jackson Romney. She attended school in Arco, graduating from Butte County High School. On June 14, 1968, she married David Karl Blosch, in Arco.
She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha and volunteered at the Ririe Library. She worked at the Site and for Utah Power and Light, and was Secretary and Treasurer for Blosch Gravel.
Mary Jo bowled at Bowl-ero with the “Slick Chics”, played pinochle with the “Card Ladies” for over 15 years in Ririe, and enjoyed collecting dishes, decorating for all holidays, cooking, baking, shopping, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was very charitable, giving to everyone who was in need.
She is survived by her husband, David Blosch, of Rigby, daughters, JoEllen (Harold) Smith, of Rigby, Jennifer (Brandon) Olsen, of Idaho Falls, Amanda Blosch, of Boise,
a son, Michael (Shanon) Blosch, of Idaho Falls, and 8 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Jeffrey Romney.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the Clark Shelton LDS Chapel, with Bishop Danny Ferguson, conducting. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
