Mary Eliza (Nebeker) Harmon, age 74, of Rigby, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Pine Brook Assisted Living Center in Rigby.
Mary was born October 29, 1931 in Clark, Idaho to George Wesley Nebeker and Fannie Elizabeth Vincent Nebeker. She grew up in the Clark area attended Rigby schools and graduated from Rigby High School. She married Del Allen Harmon October 28, 1959 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as Primary President, Stake Young Women’s President and Ward Young Women’s President, Stake and Ward Relief Society Secretary, Ward Relief Society Teacher and Stake Building Scheduler. She served as secretary of Modern Woodman #11219. She enjoyed her family, crocheting and knitting for family and friends.
Survivors include four children: Del LaMar (Shirley) Harmon of Williamsburg,Virginia, Pamella (Timothy) Engelhardt of Mountain Home, Idaho, Bryce Wade (Lorri) Harmon of Rigby and K’Lynn (Michelle) Harmon of Rigby, one brother Harold Nebeker of St. Anthony, Idaho, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main, Rigby with Bishop Wayne Call officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday for one hour prior to services at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
