Mary E. Keele, 83 of Rigby, passed away April 2, 2022.
In true Mary style, she wrote her own obituary.
I was born December 29, 1938 in Idaho Falls, Idaho at home to William “Bud” and Esther Hayes Colvin. I grew up in Idaho Falls, going to Emerson Elementary and O.E. Bell Jr. High. We moved to Washington in 1952, moved back in 1954 and lived there till I married Ted Keele on June 30, 1956, then moved to many states as we worked construction building dams. I retired from Idahoan Foods in 1993.
Ted passed away in 1995. We are survived by our children; Shane, Barry and Judy Keele; 5 grandchildren, Ethan (Megan) Radin, Shad (Stetson) Keele, Shanya (Trae) Field, Cierra (Jason Bevan) Radin and Brittany (Elaren Lucas) Keele, 5 great-grandchildren, Ainzlie, Aftyn, Asher and Axlie Keele and JJ Radin; 3 brothers, Richard (Christa) Colvin, Val (Pattie) Colvin, and Randy Colvin. Also, by 3 of the most wonderful women that I choose to call daughters; Karen Schasteen, Anna Pearson, and Sheryl Hunt with whom I’ve had many happy and fun times.
I cannot leave out my traveling companion who has been by my side for 12 years; my dog Chewie.
I was preceded in death by my husband Ted; my parents; brothers, William, Paul and Mike Colvin; sisters June Jackson and Bette “BeAnn” Wells; and some nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral.
