Mary Elaine Poole

Elaine B. Poole, age 93 of Menan died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Rexburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 1, 1914 at Millcreek, Utah to Mary Lovenia Boam Brinton and Samuel Howard Brinton. She attended grade school in Coltmann, Idaho, then graduated from Midway High School. After graduation she worked in Salt Lake City, and then was an operator for Mountain Bell Telephone Co. in Idaho Falls. June 2, 1936, she married John Rulon Poole in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in many capacities including, Sunday School, Stake and Ward Primary, and Spanish Family History Extraction. Elaine loved dancing, crocheting, making quilts, going on trips, camping with her husband, family and friends and talking with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters; Susan Elaine (Bob) Hunting, of Menan, RuLaine (Gary) Groom, of St. George, Utah, Renee (Ross) Fullmer of Menan, a Brother; J. Emerson (Eve) Brinton, of Idaho Falls, fifteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Menan Stake Center. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
