It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Maryanne Ramirez, a devoted wife, mother, foster mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who passed away peacefully on 03/31/2025 at the age of 83. Born in Long Beach, California, on 11/11/1942, Maryanne was the heart of our family. She was always ready with a listening ear and spent countless hours on the phone, offering love and support. She loved to talk on the phone! She always welcomed everyone with open arms. Her unwavering love and compassion extended beyond her family, as she opened her home and heart to many foster children, embracing them as her own and eventually adopting some as our beloved brothers and sisters. Our family would not have been so blessed if it wasn't for her unwavering love for family.
Maryanne’s kindness, strength, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Robbie, Ronnie, Lori-Anne (Bernardo), Sheri, Loren Jr., Christine (Rich), Eugene Jr., Richard (Harley), Christopher, Alexis, Eugene (Kelly) Ramirez of Fountain Valley, California and Chris (Jyll) Ramirez of Huntington Beach, California, Anna Ramirez of Huntington Beach, California, and 25 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Edward Ramirez, father, Berlyn Palmer, mother, Anne Palmer, sisters, Donna and Marilyn, brothers, Bunk and Gene, former husband, Loren Grant, Sr., her son Rick James, niece, Kimberly James, and nephew, Jonathan Palmer.
The family will be celebrating her life at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, located in Rigby, Idaho, on Saturday, 04/05/2025. Viewing will be at 11:00 am, with a service following and a graveside burial at Pioneer Cemetery in Rigby, Idaho.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
