Maryn Graham

Maryn Graham, age 79 of Ririe, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her home. Maryn was born November 3, 1936 in Teton, Idaho to Lelan Andersen and Melva Edna Bean Andersen. She graduated from South Fremont High School 1955; during her high school years she participated in the marching band, loved swimming, ice skating and all things outdoors. She continued her education at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, and earned a degree as a Registered Nurse in 1959. On June 18, 1959, she married Gerald Reed Graham in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple; they were blessed with 3 children. Maryn worked as a nurse in several hospitals, but spent most of her career at the District 7 Health Department in Rigby. Maryn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she enjoyed many callings such as Young Women Leader, Sunday School Teacher and Relief Society President. She and Gary served regularly in the Rexburg Temple. She was an accomplished artist, many of her pieces are displayed throughout her and her family’s homes. Her love of the outdoors continued with her family and they enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and countless hours fishing on the Southfork. She is survived by her husband, Gary Graham, of Ririe, Idaho; daughter, Karin (Jay) Heitz of Marsing, Idaho; sons, David (Wendy) Graham, of Jerome, Idaho, Darin (Leisa) Graham, of Beaverton, Oregon; sisters, Barbara (Vernon) Carlson, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Judy (Brian) Anderson, of West Jordan, Utah; brothers, Rod (Nan) Andersen, of Springville, Utah, Steve Andersen of Rexburg, Idaho; 14 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Ririe Stake Center, 14061 N. 130 E. Ririe, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho, and from 9:30 to 10:45am Thursday, prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
