Today we celebrate the life of a man who found happiness in the simple things. He loved his horses, his faithful dog, spending time outdoors, fishing by the water, and enjoying a cold beer while taking in the beauty around him. Those moments brought him peace and reflected the kind of life he cherished.

He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, a proud father to his three daughters, and a loving uppa who absolutely adored his many grandchildren. His grandchildren brought him immense joy, and some of his happiest moments were spent making memories with them.

He is survived by his wife, his three daughters, his many beloved grandchildren, and his four brothers. He was preceded in death by one of his brothers, as well as his mother and father.

Family was the center of his life. He taught those around him the value of hard work, loyalty, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Whether he was sharing stories, spending time with family, or enjoying the outdoors, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at  Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will follow in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.

While we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through his family and the countless memories he leaves behind. We can imagine him now riding through open fields, casting a line into calm waters, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
