Max Earl Killian, age 74, of Rigby, died Sunday, December 8, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional
Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Max was born August 15, 1928, at Poplar, Idaho, a son of Earl Henry Killian and Sarah Jane
Coles Killian. He attended school in Poplar, Idaho and graduated from Rigby High School.
Max Married June Elizabeth Rochefort February 26, 1953 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked at the INEEL as a
boiler operator for 27 years, farmed in the Milo area for many years and worked at the Lincoln
Sugar Factory. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving four missions for the
church, as Sunday School President, as a counselor in the High Priest group and in the young
mens MIA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and family reunions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 11, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. at the Milo First Ward
LDS Chapel with Bishop Rod Wallace of the Rigby First Ward officiating. The family will visit
with friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in
Rigby and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Ririe-
Shelton Cemetery.
