Max Dee Polson, age 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Monday, May 16, 2016. Max was born, November 23, 1937 in Roberts, Idaho a son to Charles Arthur Polson and Annie Alyce Olaveson Polson. He was raised and attended schools in Roberts and graduated from Roberts High School. On November 25, 1967, he married Linda Ann Williamson in Challis, Idaho; their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple May 7, 1976. They were blessed with 3 daughters and 3 sons. Max worked in construction, as a tire service tech at Fred & Wayne’s Tire in Idaho Falls, and as a security guard at the INL. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities, including primary teacher, in the Sunday school presidency, as high priest group secretary and as an assistant scout master. He also served a mission to the Bishop’s Store House from 2002-2005. Max enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, and four-wheeling. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Polson, daughters, Kris (Russell) Myers, Alisa Polson, Alexis Polson, all of Idaho Falls, sons, Michael (Angie) Polson, of Kaysville, Utah, Cody (Annie) Polson, of Idaho Falls, sisters, Patsy Bryan, of Bozeman, MT, Dixie Harkness, of Challis and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Elaine Bishop, Sydney Takacs, brothers, Neil Polson and Robert Polson and a son, Bradley Charles Polson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Coltman LDS Chapel, 12448 N. 5th E., Idaho Falls, with Bishop Kim Schuldt, conducting. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Friday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
