Max Spatig age 82 of Rigby, Idaho, passed away peacefully October 12, 2024 at Temple View in Rexburg, Idaho.
Max was born December 8, 1941 a son to Adolf and Eva Warner Spatig in Preston, Idaho. Max attended elementary school, middle school, and high school, in Preston Idaho. Max attended college at BYU Provo in Provo, Utah and graduating with his Master's Degree.
Max married his loving wife Ila J Lang on May 28, 1965 in the Idaho Falls Temple. During his adult life he was a self-employed painter and a traveling salesman. He lived in Idaho, California, Arizona, and Utah.
Max was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served a LDS mission to California Spanish Speaking. His hobbies consisted of talking to everyone, and any activity with the LDS church.
Max is survived by his daughter Rebecca (Shawn) Burrow, of Rigby, Idaho, sons Joe (Lori)Spatig of Rigby, Idaho, Mike Spatig of Rigby, Idaho, James (Jeannette) Spatig of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Paul (Cherisa) Spatig of Evanston, Wyoming, Chris (Katie) Spatig of Page, Arizona, Daniel (Jen) Spatig of Leonardtown, Maryland, Sisters Shirley Walters of St. Antony, Idaho, Betty Spatig of California, and Rosemary Schimmerhorn of Alvin, Texas, and his 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Max is preceded in death by his wife Ila J Lang Spatig, parents Adolf and Eva Warner Spatig, and his 3 brothers Ronald, Stanley, and John Spatig.
Services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Eckersell Funeral Home. Interment at Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
