Maxine Ardellia Tracy

Maxine Ardellia Tracy, age 69, of Rigby, passed away at her home, Thursday February 12, 2015. Maxine was born September 26, 1945 at Rocky Mount, North Carolina, a daughter to Marvelin Isaac Bass and Nellie Gary Carter Bass. She attended schools in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and graduated from Rocky Mount, High School. On June 19, 1964 she married Juan Marlo Tracy in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was very active in Boy Scouts of America and was honored with the Silver Beaver Award. She owned Special Occasions Bridal Boutique and worked as a Security Officer at the INEL. She was involved in volunteer work where she managed the gift shop at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center and served as the Executive Director for the Miss Idaho Falls Scholarship Pageant. She enjoyed camping and for three years was Jefferson County Lake Camp Host. She enjoyed crafts, cooking and was a Coca-Cola Artifact Collector. Maxine is survived by her husband Juan Tracy of Rigby, four sons; Juan Marlo (Kathy) Tracy of Idaho Falls, David Marvelin (Janet) Tracy of Ammon, Robert “Bobby” Mitchell (Andrea) Tracy of Roy, Utah, and Brandon (Tiffany) Clark of Lewisville, a half-sister Jessica Bass of Laurence, South Carolina, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Robert and a daughter Tabatha Marie. Funeral services will be held Monday February 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Rigby 14th Ward LDS Chapel 602 Sundance Rigby, ID 83442. The family will visit with friends Sunday, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Valley Vu Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. in Malta, Idaho.
