Melba Trina Skeen Lee, 95, of Grant, died at her daughters home in Logan, Utah, Tuesday, September 14, 2004. Melba was born October 12, 1908, at Warren, Weber County, Utah, a daughter of Joseph Skeen and Petrina Folkman Skeen. She attended schools in Plain City and Ogden,Utah,and graduated from Weber College. In her younger life she enjoyed sports especially horseback riding and baseball. She taught school in Utah and Idaho. She married Arnold Lee, April 10th 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Arnold preceded her in death in June of 1980. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings but especially enjoyed her time serving with her husband as officiators in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Melba has always enjoyed books good music and social activities. She had many friends enjoying each of them. She lived a life of service. Survivors include a daughter Lorna Lee Baker, grandchildren: Julia Brown, Diane Corney, Annette Rollins, Shannon Lundberg, Janet Abbott, Brian Baker, Jolen Baker, Susan Baker and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 18, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. in the Grant 1st Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Dennis Merrill officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:15 until 11:15 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby
