Merle Leroy Renken

Merle LeRoy Renken; 80, of Rigby, Idaho died Friday, June 13, 2003 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Merle was born November 28, 1922 at Omaha, Nebraska the son of Ed H. Renken and Leora Sampson. He attended schools in California and served in the Army during World War II. He married Venda Browning on June 20, 1988 at Rigby, Idaho. He was prededed in death by his former wife Nadine Wood who he married in California in 1955. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. He worked in California in food service and with the Idaho Falls West Bank Motel. He enjoyed gardening and working on old Cars. He loved his grandchildren. He is survived by a step-daughter Margie Browning of Idaho Falls, Idaho. A step-son, Dennis Rainey of Albequeque, New Mexico. Two brothers, Wendell (Caroline) Renken of Santa Ana, Califorina and Emery Renken of Sant Ana, California. Four grand children and seven great granchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
