Millie Hodson Hartwell, 88, of Monteview, died Monday, March 9, 2009, at her home. She was born November 6, 1920, in Blackfoot, to Albert Hodson and Victoria Wood Hodson. She attended schools in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School; she continued her education at ISU. In 1941 she moved to Terreton and taught school for 2 years. On November 27, 1942, she married Joe Hartwell in Dillon, Montana. Millie and Joe had a good life together; you never saw one without the other. She is survived by two daughters, Vicky Jo (Ken) Elison, of Firth, Marie (Tom) Kellom, of Dubois, two sons, Bert (Helen) Hartwell, of Great Falls, MT, Lee (Cindy) Hartwell, of Arlington, TX, nine grandchildren and two, great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2009, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main St., Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, both at the funeral home. The family would appreciate donations to the West Jefferson Senior, Citizens Center, Terreton, ID, 83450 or Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1810 Moran, Idaho Falls, ID 83401. Burial will be in the West Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
