Milton "Milt" Waters Andersen

Milton “Milt” Waters Andersen, age 88 of Rigby, died at his home Monday, August 16, 2004. Milt was born March 21, 1916 at Clark, Idaho a son of Albert and Vida Ester Waters Andersen. He grew up in the Clark area and attended Rigby Schools. During World War II Milt was a member of the W.P.A. and the P.W.A. He married Mary Ardell Hunsaker, November 2, 1937 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He farmed in the Rigby area all of his life. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as assistant scout master, Sunday School Presidency, sang in the ward choir and was a ward greeter. He enjoyed boxing, baseball, and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include: Carol Kranz of Rigby, DaLee Hansen of Rigby, Rhonda (David) Simons of Spanish Fork, Utah, Judy (Nathan) Bridges of Rigby, Debra Johnson of Colorado, Richard (Linda) Andersen of Georgia, Dennis (Angie) Andersen of Rigby, Marlen Andersen of Ririe, Darius (Noreen) Andersen of Rigby, Gaylen Andersen of Rigby, Kim Andersen of Texas; Sister; Donna Barney of Menan; Brothers Elmo Andersen of Rigby, Austin Andersen of Houston, Texas, Calvin Andersen of Rupert, Harlow Andersen of Las Vegas, Nevada, Clive Andersen of Florida, 58 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, 1 daughter, 2 sons, 1 sister, 4 brothers and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 20, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. in the Rigby Idaho East Stake Center with Bishop Bryon Summers officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
