Mitchel L. Hansen

Mitchel L. Hansen, 49, of Rigby, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg. He was born January 7, 1962, in Driggs, Idaho to Connie Jeppesen Nelson and Vern Hansen. He grew up in Teton Valley where he met the love of his life, Ione Olsen. They made their life together in Rexburg and Rigby where their sons Justin and Rhett were born. Mitch enjoyed hunting, horse racing, and roping with his boys and nephews. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Ione Hansen, sons, Justin & Rhett, Mother, Connie (Carl) Nelson, sisters, Shana Miller and Monica Jones, brother, Brett (Sherri) Hansen, and his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim & Emma Jeppesen, father-in-law, JP Olsen, and his nieces, Regina Jones and Sheena Wood. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2011, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday evening, and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
