Molly Jean Widerburg, 85, of Rigby, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg.
She was born February 12, 1927, in Rigby to Harlen Later and Leonore Rebecca Stahl Later. She was raised and attended schools in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School in 1946. On December 27, 1945, she married Jack Homer McAllister, they later divorced. On February 19th, 1956, she married LaMar Widerburg in Rigby, Idaho. She worked for Radeans Clothing Store in Rigby, as a bookkeeper for Jefferson Co-Op, as a waitress for their family owned restaurant; Dill Pickle Inn, and for Carsis Restaurant in Rigby.
Molly was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of VFW Auxiliary, and The Jefferson County Sherriff’s Posse Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing, playing pool, and bowling.
She is survived by her children; Fran Jean (Chuck) Heisler Sr., of Pocatello, Craig Later (Debby) McAllister, of Rigby, brother; Jack (Leona) Later, of Rigby, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Harlen and Leonore Later, husband; Lamar Widerburg, and brothers; Joel Later, and Richard Later.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Rigby Stake Center, with Bishop Adam Hall, conducting. The family will receive friends at the Rigby Stake Center, 258 W. 1st N., Rigby, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, prior to services, both at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
