Myrtle Hareland Ohman, 91, was born July 8, 1915 in Hannaford, North Dakota. Our angel of a mother was called to God to be an angel for many on October 30, 2006 surrounded by her children at her bedside. She defined the words mother grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to so many. Her strength, commitment, Passion, sense of humor, honesty and her giving of love was unyielding. She was born into a family of seven in Hannaford, North Dakota, and was raised on a farm. She married Raymond Ohman on March 15, 1936. They had 10 children who were all raised for most of their lives in Montana. In her lifetime of work besides raising ten children, she was a practical nurse and worked at a potato processing plant until her retirement at the age of 72. Her passion came from her devotion to her children. She never faultered in the support and love she gave to generations. The Myrtle family tree first branches of ten children, Dee (Mel) Huth, Myrna (Vern) Shockey, Lorraine (George) Martin, Vernon “Bud” Ohmah, Donald (Pam) Ohman, David Ohman, Richard (Brenda) Ohman, Karen (Steve) Schorzman, Sandi (David) Duncan, Nancy (Stan) Morrison, and from these children Myrtles branches extended to 35 adult grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren. All of them hope someday to even come close to the likeness of there mom and grandma. For those that knew her, also know what a void she will leave behind but how welcome she is to those that have already gone from this life on earrth. Services will be Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Longfellow Funeral Chapel in Anaconda, Montana, or Donations may be made to the Crown of Life Lutheran Church in her name.
