Nada Rulene Hale Dallimore passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, at the Wildflower Memory Care facility in Rigby, Idaho, after a long battle with dementia.

Rulene was born on August 17, 1945, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Merlin Hale and Nada Moore Hale. She grew up in Pocatello, attended Pocatello High School, and later studied bookkeeping at ISU Vo-Tech. She worked as a detailed and dedicated bookkeeper for Pacific Fruit.

She met her beloved husband, Dean Dallimore, at a sorority dance at Idaho State University. After waiting while Dean served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints in the North Central States, they were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on September 15, 1967. They later made their home in Iona, Idaho, where they raised their three children, Natalie, Scott, and Jason. They also welcomed a baby, Merlin Eugene, who passed shortly after birth and was forever cherished.

Rulene loved being a homemaker and was very artistic. She enjoyed tole painting, crafting, crocheting, macramé and was an incredible seamstress making family clothing, costumes for her daughter's dance recitals and her wedding dress along with a baby blessing dress for her granddaughters. She was known for her beautiful handwriting and attention to detail. Later in life, she worked at Grand Central (now Fred Meyer) and Sand Creek Middle School as a paraeducator in the special education unit, a role she deeply loved.

She served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many callings, including Primary President, Young Women’s presidency, in the Relief Society presidency, as a Primary Teacher, and in Cub Scouts. She also loved shopping and was always delighted to find and share a good bargain.

Above all, Rulene loved her family. She took great joy in making holidays and birthdays special and treasured time with her grandchildren—reading stories, watching movies, playing tea party, and babysitting whenever she could. She made sure her family always knew how deeply they were loved.

Rulene found peace and happiness living in the beautiful and tranquil LaBelle subdivision of Rigby, Idaho.

She is survived by her husband, Dean Dallimore; her children, Natalie, Scott (Devaree) and Jason Dallimore; her brother, Don Hale (Vicky Hale); and her six beloved grandchildren.

Through her faith in Jesus Christ, Rulene’s family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her precious son, Merlin Eugene, and other loved ones, and that families can be together forever.

A funeral service will be held at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho) on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The family will meet with friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will follow in the Iona Cemetery.

Rulene’s favorite color was blue. Join us by wearing blue at her services in her honor. Thank you.
