Nadine Verna Johnson Keppner, 87, of Menan, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at her home in Menan.
Nadine was born July 4, 1923 in Lewisville, Idaho a daughter of William Nephi and Verna May Johnson. She attended school in Lewisville graduating from Midway High School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in all the auxiliaries as a leader or teacher, and served as the secretary of the Rigby Stake Young Women’s organization for 14 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Nadine married Wayne Watson Keppner June 1, 1942 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. She loved her family and had just celebrated her 69th wedding anniversary to Wayne.
Nadine is survived by her husband Wayne of Menan, daughters Linda Lee (Jude) Feucht of Mamou, Louisiana, Shauna Marnae (Gary) Dalton of Salt Lake City, Utah, LaPreal (Kirt) Hayes of Rigby; sons, Randy Wayne (Diana) Keppner of Basalt, Idaho, Monte kay (Linda) Keppner of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Tony Kim Keppner of Menan, Idaho, sister Corene Taylor of Lorenzo, Idaho, 35 grandchildren, 99 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Cliff, Ross and Bill Johnson, grandchildren Jeffery Keppner and Connie Ann Feucht.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Menan Stake Center (698 N. 3600 E. Menan)at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Gary Asper conducting. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby and prior to the service at the Stake Center from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
