Nadine Blau Wright

Elsie Nadine Blau Wright, 85, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at her home. She was born July 18, 1927, on the Blau Ranch in Logan Co., Kansas, to Fredrick Blau and Elva Mandana Richardson Blau. She was raised and attended schools in Kansas, Arizona and Utah. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from BYU in Provo, Utah in 1957. She taught school in California, Okinawa, Germany, Arizona and Ogden, Utah. On April 2, 1965, she married LeRoy H. Wright in the Logan LDS Temple. Nadine was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she served missions in Texas-Louisiana, Nauvoo, Illinois and South Carolina. She also served in the Primary, was a piano accompanist and most recently served in the Young Women’s Organization as Laurel Advisor. She enjoyed reading, music, and studying the scriptures. She had a great love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. She also loved to interact with people and was skilled at telling a great joke. She is survived by her daughter, Sharolyn (John) Starrs, of Orem, Utah, her son, Scott (Lisa) Wright, of Rigby, Idaho, sister, Glenna (Tracy) Wilson, of Lehi, Utah, brothers, Maurice (Reva) Blau, of Roy, Utah, Gerald (Geniel) Blau, of Mesa, Arizona, Omer (Ruth) Blau, of Emmett, Idaho, Sullivan (Pat) Blau, of Logan, Utah and 8 of the cutest grandchildren ever. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and twin sister, Teresa Maxine. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013, in the Nibley 6th Ward building at 360 W 3200 S Nibley, Utah. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel of Rigby.
