Nancy Dale Denning

August 1, 1955 — May 4, 2014

Nancy Dale Green Denning, 58, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Nancy was born August 1, 1955, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Dale V. Green and Mary B. Lawson Green. Nancy grew up and attended schools in the Rigby area and graduated from Rigby High School in 1973. On August 16, 1973 Nancy married Joe Denning in Rigby, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 16, 1988; their 15th Wedding Anniversary. They have two daughters, Amy and Jenny. She worked as a licensed cosmetologist for many years and developed so many friendships. With her love of hair and her gift of gab it was the perfect profession for her. She also worked for the US Postal Service and loved working with the public. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed numerous callings in Relief Society, Primary and Young Woman’s organizations. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her eight grandchildren. She loved to tell stories and make people laugh. She was very active and athletic. She enjoyed running, skiing and even bungee jumping. Nancy was so full of life and it reflected on all those around her. She lost the battle with Alzheimer’s disease but touched the lives of all who knew her. We all inspired and uplifted by her courage and positive attitude in the face of such a huge trial. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joe Denning of Idaho Falls, her daughters, Amy (Travis) Packer of Meridian, Idaho, Jenny (Crae) Williams of Logan, Utah, eight grandchildren, Keslie, Zak, Jaycie, Mya, Cameron, Allie, Lily and Eva, her mother, Mary Green of Rigby and her sister, Rochelle Green of Rigby. She was preceded in death by her father and 2 baby brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the LDS Centennial Building, 4459 John Adams Parkway in Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services, both at the church. Interment will be held at the Grant Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
