Neil Reed Gray, 73, of Menan, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his home.
He was born September 22, 1938, in Rexburg, Idaho to George Samuel Gray and Edna Grace Davey Gray. He was raised and attended schools in Menan and graduated from Rigby High School. On February 26, 1959 he married Theda Franck in Menan. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple on July 18, 1974. He worked for U & I Sugar Factory in Lincoln for 21 years and for the INEL for 10 years where he retired as a welder and boiler operator.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Sunday School Councilor, and as a member of the Seventies Organization; which he enjoyed very much. He also served a mission to Fort Washakie, Wyoming with his wife for one year among the Indians.
Neil enjoyed scuba diving, riding motorcycles, skiing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Theda Gray, of Menan, daughters, Elaine (Byron) Luthy, of Archer, Margo (Scott) Reese, of Billings, MT, son Garth Neil (Elaine) Gray, of Rigby, brother, Merlin Gray, of Lincoln, Montana and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Menan Stake Center, with Bishop Roger Clark, conducting. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday evening at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services Saturday, at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
