Nelda Gae Walker passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at the age of 64. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend, and a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a quiet strength and unwavering testimony.
Nelda was born on August 28, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Gail and Pat Walker. She was raised in Rigby, Idaho, where she graduated from high school and developed many of the passions and values that would guide her throughout her life.
A lifelong learner, Nelda had a deep appreciation for education, creativity, and the gospel. She served faithfully in many church callings, with her most cherished role being that of a temple ordinance worker—a position she considered sacred and joyful.
Nelda was a gifted artist, known for her beautiful projects: sketches, illustrations, stained-glass work, and so much more. Her talents were matched only by her desire to share beauty with others.
She is survived by her three children: Taibrie (Bear) Bangs, Tally Leto, and Tyson Kugler; five grandchildren, Heather (Noe) Munguia, Morgan Weaver, Hailey Weaver, and Cayden and Izzy Leto; her sister, Becky Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Annis Little Butte Cemetery, located at 3883 East Menan-Lorenzo Hwy, Rigby, Idaho 83442. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved parents.
Nelda’s favorite color was cobalt blue, and it always brought her joy. If you feel so inclined, please feel free to honor her memory by wearing something blue to the service.
