Nellis Hart Garner, 84, of Idaho Falls, died January 3, 2006 at the Mallory House in Idaho Falls.
Nellis was born November 1, 1921 in Menan, Idaho a daughter of John William Hart Jr. and Mable Fisher Hart. She was raised and attended school in Menan and graduated from Midway High School. She then went to the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. Nellis married K. Willis Garner on June 4, 1945 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She worked as a clerk for Madison County for a number of years. Nellis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She belonged to a bowling league and a bridge club in Rexburg. Nellis enjoyed dancing, bowling, traveling and family reunions.
Survivors include one daughter Jill (Benny) Beck of Idaho Falls, one son Roger (Deanna) Garner of Rexburg, a sister Maxine (Everett) Nichols of Idaho Falls, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Nellis was preceded in death by her parents, husband K. Willis Garner, and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2006, at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Burial will follow the services at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
