Neva Peterson

Neva Byington Peterson was delivered into the loving arms of our heavenly father on June 6 ^th . 2018 after a long and lingering illness due to the complications of age.

Mom was born July 31 ^st . 1931 the second to youngest child of John Parley Byington and Marguerite Brennetta Smith Byington. She grew up in the area east of Ririe known as Popular and attended local schools. She met Dwain (Pete) Peterson on a blind date to a basketball game and later married him in the Idaho Falls LDS temple on June 15 ^th . 1948.  Mom enjoyed cooking, cleaning, camping, gardening, being a wonderful homemaker and later in life an avid birdwatcher and part-time bird-feed guard and squirrel chaser. Neva was especially fond of her grandchildren and they brought great joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and all twelve of her siblings.

Mom is survived by four sons: Brent (Shayla) Peterson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Randall (Danette) Peterson of Annis, Idaho, Kelly (Elaine) Peterson of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Robert (Kim) Peterson of Enumclaw, Washington, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A friend/family viewing and visitation will be held at Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Monday June 11 ^th . followed by graveside services at Annis Little Butte Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
