Niles Fabyn Hanson, 67, of Rigby passed away peacefully Monday, August 27, 2012 at his home.
Niles was born July 8, 1945, in Rigby to Fabyn Albert Hanson and Sarah Norma Scott Hanson. He was raised in the Annis Area and attended Annis and Rigby schools, graduating from Rigby High School. He continued his education at UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He worked in Las Vegas for EG&G for 10 years and then at the INL for 30 years; retiring in September, 2005. He was currently employed at Regional Development Center in Idaho Falls. He married Sharon McDaniels, they later divorced. He then married Ida Mae Priest in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting elk.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Hanson, of Rigby, daughters; Tina (Craig) Aeschbacher, of Atlanta, Georgia, Jennifer Zundel Burnside, of Idaho Falls, sons; Fabyn (Jayme) Hanson, of Rigby, Tracen (Joell) Zundel, of Rigby, sisters; Dee Ann (Bob) Wright, of St. Louis Missouri, Sue (Don) Ballew, of Burlington, Iowa, brothers; Bryce (Cecilia) Hanson, of Chicago, IL, Clayne (Julie) Hanson, of Menan and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Troy, and a sister, Jeaná.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday August 31, 2012 at the Menan Stake Center with Bishop Gary Sears, conducting. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
The family will meet with friends for a celebration of his life on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Sereno Events Center (Old Annis Church), 3866 E. Menan-Lorenzo Hwy, Rigby, Idaho from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The family extends their appreciation to Idaho Home Health and Hospice.
