Nina Gayle Nielsen Burch passed away on August 15, 2011 at her home in Idaho Falls. She was born April 28, 1929 in Hyrum, Utah. She graduated from Utah State Agricultural College with a bachelor's degree in Dietary Science. She worked for many years as a switchboard operator for the Idaho National Energy Laboratory. She played piano and organ and enjoyed oil painting and gardening. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served more than 30 years in the Idaho Falls Temple. She served a mission with her husband to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Nina is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gene H Burch, children Reed, Paul (Pam), Kaye (Blaine VanDenBerghe), Nielsen (Angela), Gina (Jay Sneddon), and Joy (Kent Stucki), her brother, Seymour Nielsen, sister, Janice Green, 28 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gayle (Bill Svancara), and grandchildren Kayloni Burch and Rye Burch.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, at 10:30 am at the Ucon Stake Center 2967 East 105 North Idaho Falls. The viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 10:15 am prior to the funeral services. Interment will be in Hyrum, Utah under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
