Nina Gay Huffaker Clark, 81 of Menan, Idaho, passed away August 31, 2016 as a result of her 3rd battle with cancer. She endured to the end with grace and dignity.
Gay was born May 17, 1935, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Allen Cromwell Huffaker and Sarah Theressa Merrill Huffaker. She was raised and attended schools in Menan. She attended Rigby High School and was a member of the prep club. On August 20, 1952, she married Lester Moses Clark in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple; they were blessed with five children. In addition to being a wife and mother, Gay worked as a seamstress in the drapery business.
Gay was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she served in many capacities, including two full time missions in Papua, New Guinea and Orlando, Florida and a stake mission for the Menan Stake.
Gay enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, reading and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Lester M. Clark, of Menan; son; Gary (Lee Musgrove) Clark, of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Lorinda (Val) Hymas, of Filer, ID, Sue (Andy) Mackay, of Idaho Falls, ID, Jean (Brian) Snoke, of Liberty, UT, Sandy (Scott) Hymas, of Twin Falls, ID; sisters, Beth (Fred) Wald, of Salt Lake City, UT, Pat (Ross) McMullen, of North Carolina, Deana (Jack) Turman, of Missoula, MT; brother, Robert (Karen) Huffaker, of Menan, Sister-in-law, Laura (Merrill) Huffaker, 19 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 2 brothers, 1 grandson, and 1 great -granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, September 7, 2016 at the Menan Stake Center. Family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday at Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby, and from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, prior to services at Menan Stake Center. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
