Nola Michele Egbert, 72, passed away on April 24, 2026, in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born on May 14, 1953, to Arlenna Smout and William “Stub” Hansen in Southeast Idaho. Michele grew up in Rigby, Idaho, where she attended school and graduated. She shared her early years with her siblings: Kenton (Pam) Hansen, Gaylene (Bruce) Portela, John (Mary) Hansen, Sheryl (Roger) Thompson, Wayne Hansen, and Nannette Sigler.
In 1971, Michele was married to Dean Gunderson, and together they made their home in Ririe, Idaho, where they raised their six children. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls, Idaho, temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on May 24, 1977. Dean and Michele divorced in 1991. Shortly after, she moved to Green River, Wyoming, where she met and married Clint Egbert in 1993. The two eventually settled in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, where Michele spent her remaining years.
Michele is survived by her children: Jared (Jodie) Gunderson, Heather (Kelly) Wiseman, Derick (Lindsey) Gunderson, Jake (Lisa) Gunderson, Sarah (Brad) Purser, and Josh (Heather) Gunderson, as well as her stepdaughter, Mercedes (Benjamin) Sargeant. She is also survived by her siblings, her stepmother, Elaine Hansen, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Michele was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenton Hansen; her brother-in-law, Roger Thompson; and her grandson, Carter.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
