Norlan Edward Herndon, age 63 of Rigby died at his home, Tuesday, November 13, 2007.
He was born December 4, 1943 at Idaho Falls, a son of Thomas Edward Herndon and Thelda Pearl Scott Herndon. He attended schools in Ririe and Rigby and served in the US Army. He married Rebecca Brockman, they later divorced. He married Pauline Bates, they later divorced. November 22, 1991 he married Bonita Archibald at St. Anthony, Idaho.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his cows and his horse. Norlan and his family express their gratitude to Home Health and Hospice, Dr. Taylor and Dr. Shull.
He is survived by his wife, Bonita, Daughters: Deanne (Miguel) Marquez of Rexburg, Michelle (Billy) Day of Shelley, Teri (Valente) Perez of Rexburg; Sons: Craig Herndon (Vicki) of Boise, Brian (Kira) Herndon of Yakima, WA; Step daughters: Teresa (Ray) Ketchum of Rigby, Kristine (Frank) Cuevas of Jacksonville Florida; Stepson: James Cadwell of Rigby; Sisters: Coleen (Fred) Olson, Carol (Andy) Nelson, Jolene Herndon all of Idaho Falls; JoAnn Banister of Rigby, and twenty-five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one daughter; Esther.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
