Norma Lee Briggs, 69, of Rexburg, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg.
She was born March 21, 1944, in Putney, West Virginia to George Everett Snodgrass and Cordelia Louise Campbell Snodgrass. She was raised and attended schools in the Boise Area. On September 8, 1964, she married Lynn Elmer Briggs in Boise; their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple April of 1977. She worked for Madison School district driving school bus for 21 years.
Norma is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she enjoyed flowers, gardening feeding humming birds, raising her grandchildren and taking care of her husband Lynn.
She is survived by her mother, Cordelia Yokum, of Fairbanks, Alaska; husband Lynn Briggs, of Rexburg; daughters, Cathy Briggs, of Rexburg, Susan Miller, of Rexburg; son, James Briggs, of Rexburg; sisters Ellen Murphy, of Belle River, Canada, Luci Jones, of Fairbanks, Alaska; brothers, Frank Yukom, of Seattle, Washington, Johnny Yukom, of Caldwell, and 2 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father George Everett Snograss.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Sutton Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
