Norma Ann Ireland

Norma Ann (Riddle) Ireland, 77, of Rigby, passed away at her home on August 22, 2011. She was born in Bruneau, Idaho to Frank and Ruth Riddle and married Hugh Calvin Ireland on August 21, 1955 in Mountain Home, Idaho. Together, Hugh and Norma established Ireland’s Acres Mobile Home Park in Rigby in 1969, which remains a family-owned business. Norma enjoyed bowling and invested considerable time in the establishment of the Senior Citizen Center in Rigby. In recent years, Norma adored spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by two sons—Jeff Ireland of Rigby and Frank Ireland of Idaho Falls—and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank Riddle; and husband, Hugh Ireland. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Bethel Baptist Church, 3866 E. 400 North in Rigby. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Memorial contributions may be made to Rigby’s Bethel Baptist Church, Rigby Senior Citizen’s Center or Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
