Nyman Dale Johnson

Nyman Dale Johnson, 75, of Rigby, died Friday, December 12, 2014 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Nyman was born January 15, 1939 in Logan, Utah a son to Dale Pulsipher Johnson and MarDean Nyman Johnson. He was raised in Logan until the age of 16 and they moved to Idaho Falls. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He played football and wrestled in school winning a state championship in Utah and in Idaho. He worked as a welder for Chicago Bridge and Iron traveling around the western states. He moved back to Idaho Falls in 1973 and worked at INEL until he retired in 2007. He married Zelda Morgan in 1958 and they later divorced. He married Martha Craft in 1973. He loved: Idaho, fishing, hunting and camping, hanging out in his shop with his friends having a beer. He loved his dog Molly; she was his companion and protector. He is survived by four daughters: Verdale (Scott) Logan of Bryant, Texas, Debra Steele and Verna (Warren) Coderre both of Saugus, California, Mary (John) Hansen of Rigby, a son David (Lanette) Johnson of Rigby, a daughter-in-law Mary Johnson of Rigby, four sisters: Karen (Mike) Current, Carla (Pete) Tingley of Missoula, Montana, Becky (Steve) Forcey all of Idaho Falls and Rita (Jim) Korbis of Pocatello, a brother Jim (Rose) Johnson of Rigby, 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Johnson, parents Dale and MarDean Johnson, a son Van Nyman Johnson and a Daughter Linda Swineheart. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main, Rigby. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, December 17th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Thursday, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
