Oliver “Perry” Hawkins, age 54, of Idaho Falls, Idaho died Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at the EIRMC in Idaho Falls. Perry was born on November 25, 1949 in Rigby, Idaho the son of Jack Baxter Hawkins and Vila Pearl Lemmon Hawkins. He was raised and attended school in the Rigby area and graduated from Rigby High School. He graduated from Ricks College and then from Law school in California. He worked for Prudential insurance as a sales Manager. He had a painting business in Idaho Falls. Perry was an independent loan officer. He married Chris Conder. They were later divorced. He married Karen Smith. They were later divorced. He married Sally Miranda. Perry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had served a mission for the church to Denmark. He enjoyed sports and played high school baseball, basketball, and American Legion Baseball. He coached little league baseball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Perry is survived by Daughters Kimberly Kay Hawkins of California Amanda Sue Hawkins of California Candice Sue (Lars) Longnecker of Montgomery, Alabama Sons Benjamin Jack (Tammy) Hawkins of Boise, Idaho Oliver Perry Hawkins of Mesa, Arizona Mother Vila Pearl Hawkins of Rigby, Idaho Sisters Karren (Stan) Borowski of Rigby, Idaho Jacque (Roger) Munns of Maryland, Virginia Brothers Philip Vern (Norma Jean) Hawkins of Boise, Idaho Bill G. (Peggy) Hawkins of Rexburg, Idaho 5 grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel with Boyd Leavitt conducting. The family will visit with friends on Monday prior to the services at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
