Ora Mae Dortch

Ora Mae Neville Dortch, 74, of Idaho Falls, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 21, 2023. She was under the care of Brio Hospice.

She was born on April 18, 1949 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Venna V. Housley Wilhelm and William Keith Neville.

She married Ray Nesson in 1969, they divorced in 1974. She married Paul Wheeless in 1975 and they divorced in 1976. Ora married Jim Dortch May 7, 1982 and was happily married to him until she passed.

Ora was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings throughout her life.

She loved to crochet, go camping and collect key chains. Ora has over 10,000 keychains in her collection!

Ora is preceded by her parents William Neville and Venna Wilhelm; brother Steve K. Neville and sisters Clara M. Willcoxon and Edith Z. Farris.

She is survived by her sweetheart Jimmy C. Dortch of Idaho Falls; sons Rodney Ray (Lori) Nessen of Idaho Falls, Wesley Allen (Bellia) Wheeless of Rexburg, Jimmy Travis (Tyler) Dortch of Idaho Falls, and Dustin Gene Dortch of Idaho Falls; sisters Chris Ann (Peter) Sweetland of Idaho Falls and Ina Kay (James) Griffin of Ririe. She has twelve grandchildren who she loves dearly.

Funeral services for Ora will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 W Main St Rigby ID 83442). Viewings will be held the night prior from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home, as well as Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral at Fielding Memorial Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
