Oriole Treasure, 89, of Ammon, Idaho passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017. She was born March 25, 1928 in Annis, Idaho, the daughter of Irvin and Annie Hoffman Hanson. She attended schools in Annis and graduated from Midway High School in Lewisville, Idaho. On December 27, 1946, Oriole married Lee J Treasure in Idaho Falls, Idaho in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was as a caring wife and a mother. With her husband, they raised seven children. They lived in Garfield, ST. Anthony, Driggs, Annis and Ammon. After retirement, they spent their winters in Quartsite, Arizona and summers being camp hosts at Big Springs and Buttermilk Campgrounds in Island Park, ID. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she held many callings. She loved flowers, cookies and milk, sports, hiking, gardening, cookies and milk, dutch oven cooking, her family and did we mention milk and cookies. Oriole is survived by her children; Ronnalee (Randy) Baker of Salt Lake City, Utah, Gaylin (Kim) Hodges of Provo, Utah, Terri (Mark) Jacob of Orem, Utah, Dawn (Roger) Redford of Ammon, Idaho, and Wade (Trudy) Treasure of Alta, Wyoming. A brother, Ted (Sharon) Hanson of Rigby, Idaho. 27 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Treasure. Her parents, two sons; Dell Treasure and Kelly Treasure. Sisters; Marilyn Ward and Lelia Ward and brothers; Theo Hanson and Benair Hanson. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12:00 Noon in the Ammon 25th Ward Chapel (2055 S. Ammon Road, Ammon, ID). The family will meet with friends Friday, September 8, 2017 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, (101 W. Main St. Rigby, ID) from 7 to 8:30 PM and on Saturday, September 9, 2017 prior to services at the LDS Church from 11:00 to 11:45 AM. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
