Patricia Josephine Laker Dorcheus, 72, of Rigby, passed away at her home, Friday, October 07, 2016. Patricia was born in Afton, Wyoming, January 3rd 1944 a daughter to Lash J. and Opal Fyfe Laker. She attended schools in Rexburg, and spent her high school years at Madison High School. She worked at the A&W in Rexburg for a time. She also worked in Yellowstone Park and had many fond memories that she enjoyed sharing with her family. She married the love of her life, James Dewayne Dorcheus, July 3rd 1965 in her parents’ home in Rexburg. Patricia was a member of the Eagles in Rigby and bowled for 30 years in bowling leagues. She enjoyed camping with her husband, family and friends. Family was the most important thing to her; her children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She worked as a Lab Technician for Idahoan Foods, in potato processing. She also worked for Wilcox and Sons. She is survived by her husband, James D. Dorcheus of Rigby, two daughters, Jody Lyn (Craig) Eddins of Menan, Lena Marie (Russell) Bybee of Idaho Falls, two sons, Charles Wayne (Cathy) Dorcheus of Archer, Idaho and Brian Lash (Deanna) Dorcheus of West Valley, Utah, a sister Percillia (Carlyle) Martin of Rigby, Idaho; brother, Ernest (Gloria) Laker of Post Falls, Idaho, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Careline Cleveland and a grandson Casey Eddins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby Idaho East Stake Center, 4021 East 300 North, Rigby, Idaho, The family will visit with friends at the stake center prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
