Patricia Gneiting

January 24, 1931 — July 27, 2017

Patricia Gneiting, 86, of Rigby, Idaho passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born January 24, 1931 in Hyde Park, Utah, the daughter of Melvin Purser and Lila Perkes Purser.  She married S. LaMar Gneiting on November, 4, 1949 in Idaho Falls at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Together they made their home in Garfield, Idaho.  She worked with her husband on their farm and ranch as well as working in local potato warehouses.  LaMar and Patricia spent time together camping, fishing, four-wheeling, and snow-machining.  In retirement, they spent time in Yuma, Arizona meeting and making many friends. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Patricia had opportunity to serve as a Secretary in the Mutual, as Ward Librarian for many years and was a visiting teacher in the Relief Society. Patricia is survived by her sister, Dorothy Seamons of Hyde Park, Utah and her brothers, Donald Purser, of Rigby, Idaho, Vern (Patricia) Purser of Hyde Park, Utah, Garth (Sheila) Purser of Pardise, Utah and Mike (Judy) Purser of Tremonton, Utah. Sister in laws, Arlene Hayes of Rigby, Idaho, Norma Gneiting and Faye Gneiting of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband LaMar Gneiting and her parents. In laws, Evern (Woodrow) Birch, Gene Gneiting, Billy Gneiting, Donna (Percy) Hill, Marcene (Keith) Hadley, Merlin (Ruby) Gneiting, and Dean Hayes. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 W. Main Street, Rigby, ID) at 12:00 Noon. The family will meet with friends prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:45 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
