Patty Lynn Mcclure

Patty Lynn McClure age 51, of Idaho Falls, went home to Heavenly Father on May 4, 2012 after a valiant battle with colon cancer. She was born on September 7, 1960 in Rigby, Idaho to Linden Lee Birch and Cherie Valene Guymon Birch. She attended school in Jackson Hole and Rigby graduating from Rigby High School. She married Alec Dvon McClure on June 24, 1978 in her grandparents’ backyard underneath her favorite weeping willow. Together she and Alec raised 3 sons, Joshua Dvon, Nathan Lee, and Tyler Del. Her boys were her pride and joy. Patty worked at Circle K in Idaho Falls, Maverick in Ririe and 1st Street and Woodruff. Patty belonged to the Eastern Idaho Early Iron Organization. She loved working on and restoring old cars, a hobby she acquired at a young age while running around the full service station her father operated. When she wasn’t working on cars (or helping her sons work on theirs) she spent time crafting, writing poetry and gardening; when the sun was out, so was Patty. In more recent years, she loved playing with her grandchildren and young nieces and nephews. She spent as much time with them as she could and enjoyed listening to their laughter and imaginative stories. She is survived by her husband, Alec McClure, her children, Joshua, Nathan (Amanda), and Tyler, daughter Shoshonei (Tim) Tinker, her grandchildren Aedan, Brooke, Ariana, and Selena, her brother Keith Birch, nephews Corey (Becky), Lance (Angie), Jorge and niece Tasha Reidelbach(Eric), her brother Les Birch(Vicki), nephews Shaun (Amber), Brandon (Kadie) and Boyd, her sister, Gayelynn Hunt, nephews Broty Birch, John Hunt, and Kaden Hiatt, her sisters Glo Ritchie, Marti Jacobsen, and Amy Jex as well as many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Garfield 1st Ward building 71 N 3700 E, Rigby, ID 83442 on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 2:00 pm. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 to 1:30 pm prior to the service at the church. Interment will immediately follow services at Annis Little Butte Cemetery, 3883 E. Menan Lorenzo Hwy. Rigby, Idaho 83442. Memorial contributions may be made in Patty’s name at Eckersell Memorial chapel 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho 83442
