Pennie Sue Parmer, 63 of Idaho Falls, passed away July 5, 2015, from complications of rheumatoid arthritis.
Pennie was born March 26, 1952, the eleventh child of Ted and Helen Parmer. She, was raised in Menan, Idaho, attended schools in Menan and Rigby and then continued her education at Salt Lake Community College. She worked in Buttrey’s bakery in Idaho Falls and Wenatchee, Washington. Then she became a telephone operator for over twenty years in Idaho Falls and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Pennie served a part-time church service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for Materials Management in Idaho Falls from 2006 to 2007.
She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, and traveling. She also loved her dogs and kitties.
Pennis is survived by her “children”; Zip, Hoot and Annie; 4 brothers, Jerry (Donna) Parmer, Kal (Ellen) Parmer, Tad (Linda) Parmer, and Jeff (Shannon) Parmer; 4 sisters Joy (Paul) Freeman, Dora Barrie, Polly (Earl) White and Vonda (Richard) Henderson; and a sister-n-law, Nita Parmer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and her Utah family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Helen Parmer; 2 brothers, Theodore Jr. and James Parmer; 1 sister, Gay Dawn Walker and one brother-in-law, Bill Barrie.
A special thanks to her many doctors and to Hands of Hope Hospice for their tender care.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Monday, July 13th, 2015 at the Menan 2nd Ward LDS Church, 3547 E. Menan Lorenzo Hwy. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Sunday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
